Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 30.11.2021 in D.O.No.112/2021-C2 against the petitioner husband Shanmugam, Male aged 49 years s/o. Devendhiran who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and Set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

S.VAIDYANATHAN, J., and A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.112/2021-C2 dated 30.11.2021, detaining her husband as "Bootlegger" under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.1378, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 14.03.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
