ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 16.04.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.20741 of 2021, thereby directing the respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner seeking electricity service connection for his sheep shed situated at Movur Village, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District, after conducting equiry with the counter party and pass orders within a period of four weeks.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that as directed by this Court, the respondent conducted enquiry and passed order to give electricity service connection. In order to give electricity connection, the petitioner was directed to pay a sum of Rs.26,810/- for erecting electricity pole to give electricity service connection. Though the petitioner was issued informed by the communication dated 17.09.2025, the petitioner did not pay the said amount as such the respondent could not give electricity service connection.

Considering the above submission, no contempt is made as against the respondent and the contempt petition is liable to be dismissed. If the petitioner paid the amount demanded by the respondent, the respondent is directed to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner. 4.
