Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the accused would submit that the petitions in Crl.M.P.No.15500 of 2024 and Crl.M.P.No.14599 of 2024 were filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. for examining the mental condition of the accused during the relevant point of time when the offense was committed. However, the learned State Public Prosecutor raised an objection that no such petitions are entertainable under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the accused would submit that he will withdraw the said petitions and file appropriate petitions under Criminal Procedure Code. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the Court bundle.
