J. Raghunandanan ... Deceased insolvent/Debtor 1.J. Devanathan ... 1st Respondent/Petitioning Creditor The application has been filed by the Official Assignee, seeking permission to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- as legal fees and expenses to the counsel Mr.C. Ramesh.

2. As seen from the report of the Official Assignee dated 25.08.2023, J. Raghunandanan was declared as an insolvent pursuant to the adjudication order passed by this Court. The aforementioned counsel had acted on behalf of the Official Assignee to represent the estate of J.Raghunandanan (insolvent) in the suit in C.S.No.1096 of 2009, pending on the file of this Court.

3. The learned counsel had appeared on behalf of the Official Assignee to represent the estate of J. Raghunandanan (insolvent) and as per the Partition Decree passed in C.S.No.1096 of 2009, J. Raghunandanan was entitled to 1⁄4 th share in the suit schedule property.

4. The Advocate Mr.C. Ramesh, who had appeared on behalf of the Official Assignee in the above mentioned suit, had raised a bill dated 16.11.2017 against the Official Assignee, requesting the Official Assignee to pay his professional fees of Rs.50,000/-.

5. This application has been filed seeking permission for the Official Assignee to disburse the sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Advocate Mr.C.Ramesh, towards his professional fees for appearing on behalf of the Official Assignee in C.S.No.1096 of 2009, pending on the file of this Court.

6. This Court, after giving due consideration to the report of the Official Assignee, is inclined to grant the prayer as prayed for by the Official Assignee in this application.

7. Accordingly, this Application stands allowed as prayed for, by permitting the Official Assignee to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- as legal fees and expenses to the Advocate Mr.C. Ramesh.
