Respondent Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Committee to pass the final order or merits and in accordance with law pursuant to the inquiry conducted by the respondent Committee on 16.04.2024 with regard to the community status of the petitioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by the Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The only grievance of petitioner is that though enquiry on the caste status of petitioner was concluded long back, no orders are being passed.

2. Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that in the event State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee holds in favour of petitioner, petitioner would be entitled to issuance of caste certificate and avail the benefits available to Kurumans Scheduled Tribe.

3. Learned counsel for respondent undertakes to take final decision in the matter within a period of two weeks.
