Crl.O.P.No.20118 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner namely Suresh @ Sureshkumar, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.07.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 307, 323, 324, 326, 352 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.141 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, victim is the brother of the petitioner. In a family dispute, petitioner is falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is in Judicial Custody from 26.07.2023. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3. In response, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor strongly opposes the petition on the ground that, on 12.07.2023 at about 08.00.p.m., in a family dispute, accused had attacked the injured with the knife. As a result, victim's right hand was amputated. 1/3

4. In support of this submission, learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the photographs of the victim and the copy of the would certificate.

5. The final diagnosis as seen from the wound certificate is that, near total amputation of left wrist and grievous injuries. The photographs filed by the petitioner shows that, petitioner's left hand was amputated above the wrist level.

6. Considering the nature and seriousness of the offence and the life long harm caused to the victim in the alleged incident and also having regard to the fact that, investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 31.08.2023 Sma 2/3
