ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2022 seeking to appoint him as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology in the Tirunelveli Medical College.

2. The petitioner is presently on deputation in the Department of Physiology in the Tirunelveli Medical College. According to him, the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology in the Tirunelveli Medical College is vacant and therefore, the petitioner by his representation dated 30.05.2022 to the third respondent requested the third respondent to appoint him as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology in the Tirunelveli Medical College. Since the representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this Writ Petition. 2/5

3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2022 seeking for appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology in the Tirunelveli Medical College on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
