Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of habeas corpus, directing the respondents to produce the body of petitioner's husband Mr.Fransis Seviyar, son of Anthony Muthu, aged 53, the detenue, before this Court from the illegal custody of the second respondent and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenue seeking production of her husband. Today, a status report has been filed by the first respondent. The status report indicates that the detenue is not in illegal custody of the second respondent. Investigation is still under way.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3. On a perusal of the status report, we are satisfied that the investigation is moving in the right direction. Therefore, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending. However, the first respondent is directed to continue the investigation and make all endeavours to secure the detenue and produce him before jurisdiction as and when he is required.

4. In view of the above, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
