O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for offences punishable under Section 420 IPC and 66D of IT Act, in Crime No.11 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, and therefore seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with three other accused, started an online company using various mobile applications and induced the de-facto complainant to invest a sum of Rs.5,51,000/-, and subsequently cheated him. Hence, the present case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ranked as A2 and he is only a Silambam Teacher. He has been falsely implicated in this case. It is further submitted that the petitioner's name was misused by the other accused and that no amount was received by him. Hence, the petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is the main accused. It is stated that A1 has already been arrested and released on bail, while A3 and A4 are still absconding. Further, the petitioner was operating the bank account through which the

collected money was transacted. He further submitted that the petitioner was already involved in a similar offence and was arrested in a previous case of the same nature.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has actively participated in the offence and has previous antecedents of a similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
