JUDGMENT
The Criminal Appeal has been filed by the appellant/accused seeking to set aside the judgment of conviction passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Cases under POCSO Act, 2012/Mahila Court, Chennai in Sessions Case No.228 of 2014 dated 21.07.2017.
2. On the previous occasion, i.e., on 09.09.2025, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the appellant had undergone the sentence and sought time to get the certificate from the prison authorities.
3. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced a report submitted by the Superintendent, Central Prison, Chennai, which is extracted hereunder:

4. From the report, it is seen that the appellant had already undergone his period of conviction with some remission. The appellant was released on 12.02.2025.
