By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. 1/4

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the Respondent No.3 herein to permit the Petitioner to join the duty within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has joined in the services of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in the year 2009 and after various transfers, she was working as Assistant Engineer (Dredging) in NCTPS-1. Thereafter, the petitioner was suspended by the 2nd respondent, vide order dated 06.11.2020 and subsequently, the same was revoked by the Chief Engineer, vide order dated 02.08.2022. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that inspite of the fact that the respondents have revoked the suspension order on 02.08.2022, they are not permitting her to join duty.

5. However, this contention was totally objected by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and would submit that though the suspension was revoked on 02.08.2022, since from that day, the 2/4

petitioner did not join duty. However, would submit that the petitioner is at liberty to join duty and that there are no impediment for the respondent to permit her to join duty.

6. Recording the above said submission, the petitioner is directed to report duty on 04.08.2025 at 8.30 a.m., before the 3rd respondentSuperintending Engineer (P&A), NCTPS-II, Chennai.

7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. 29.07.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking order /Non Speaking Order dm Note: Issue order copy on 31.07.2025.
