thereby disposing the Appeal Representation made by the petitioners on 24.08.2022 to 2nd and 3rd respondents for issuing a Legal heirs certificate of Vedi who died on 23.11.2010.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and thereby disposing the Appeal Representation made by the petitioners on 24.08.2022 to 2nd and 3rd respondents for issuing a Legal heirs certificate of Vedi who died on 23.11.2010.

2. The first petitioner's husband and other petitioners' father one Vedi died and after getting the death certificate, the petitioners made an application to the second respondent Tahsildar for getting the legal heir certificate, which application was rejected by the Tahsildar, as against which the petitioners filed an appeal before the appellate authority viz., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirupattur Division, Tiruppattur District on 24.08.2022 and in order to decide the said appeal filed before the first respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer. 2 / 5

3. Heard Mr.D.Yuvarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner, who after having reiterated the aforesaid facts, would seek the indulgence of this Court.

4. Heard Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents, who on instructions submit that the said appeal filed and pending before the first respondent would be considered on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Having regard to the said submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and taking into account the innocuous nature of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.

"That there shall be a direction to the first respondent Revenue Divisional Officer to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24.08.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
