The petitioner has been summoned under Section 41A Criminal Procedure Code for appearance and participate in the enquiry on 07.08.2024. The petitioner instead of participating in the enquiry, has approached this Court alleging that the police is harassing her. 2.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for 1/4

the respondent police submits that the case in Crime No.08 of 2024 registered by the District Crime Branch, Chengalpattu against eight accused. All the accused are absconding. This petitioner is the wife of one of the absconding accused Arunvel kumar. Hence, cooperation for the investigation is essential. Instead of cooperating the enquiry for the investigation, she has approached this Court making false allegations. 3.

From the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), complaint of one BalajiRajagopalan alleging cheating of Rs.4/- Crores by producing fake documents is under investigation. The husband of the petitioner is the one of the suspect and prime accused is absconding. In such circumstances, it is essential to interrogate the petitioner herein regarding whereabouts the absconding accused person and also other dealings. Hence, there is no merit seeking protection for non participating in the investigation. Thus, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
