PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 that tree be removed to prevent any potential harm to human life, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2024. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 that tree be removed to prevent any potential harm to human life, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2024.

2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that as contended by the petitioner in the writ petition, it is not necessary to remove the tree located in the canal behind the petitioner's house. He further submits that after getting approval from the authority, namely the Sub Collector, action will be taken for removal of branches of the said tree, which is causing threat to the petitioner. 2/4

3. Recording the aforesaid statement, this Court directs the authorities concerned to take action for removal of branches of the said tree, within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Withe the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
