This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, to grant leave to file an appeal against the judgment dated 01.07.2023 made in STC.No.55/2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Mettur, Salem District.

2. Heard Mr.C. Deepakkumar learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant contended that though the accused admitted his signature on the cheque, the trial court acquitted the accused on the ground that the complainant was running a Chit Fund and he had not proved the legally enforceable liability as against the accused.
