The application has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 14 days in filing the written statement on behalf of the 1st and 2nd defendants.

2. The suit had been filed by the daughter against her mother as the 1st defendant and against her brother as the 2nd defendant, seeking partition and separate possession.

3. In the affidavit filed in support of the present application, the 2nd defendant had stated that the 1st defendant was suffering from brain canner and required treatment and he had to look after her. In view of all these aspects, there has been a delay of 14 days in filing the written statement.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the plaintiff also.

5. In view of the reasons stated, the application stands allowed. The written statement is taken on record.
