This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner as driver and to pay the time scale of pay from the date of his appointment along with all consequential service and monetary benefits. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a Driver on 01.04.2006 by the 4th respondent. The petitioner has been working as a 2/5

Driver for more than 18 years. He made several representations to regularize his service and to bring the petitioner within the time scale of pay. The same did not evoke any response. The further grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent had already recommended the case of the petitioner to the 2nd respondent through communication dated 04.02.2020 and inspite of the same, there was absolutely no progress in this case. That apart, the petitioner is also relying upon similar orders passed by this Court which was implemented by passing several Government Orders. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner and the earlier orders passed by this Court which were implemented by passing several Government Orders, there shall be a direction to the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 04.12.2023 on its own merits and in accordance with law and in line with the relevant Government Orders, earlier orders passed by this Court which was implemented and a final decision shall be taken within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
