ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to grant permission and necessary police protection to perform the cultural programme i.e., Adal padal on the eve of Sri Arulmigu Sri Sakthi Mariamman Koil, Morambukadu, Sivadhapuram, Salem - 636 307 which is held to be on 01.02.2022 to 06.02.2022 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2021.

2. The learned Government Advocate submitted that already there is a restriction due to the raise in third wave of COVID19 Pandemic. In view of the same, such permission cannot be granted. He further submitted that the petitioner has claimed himself to be a Dharmakartha of the temple and whether he has been declared as Trustee or not, for which no documents has been produced by him to prove that he has been appointed by the Hindu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Further the temple comes under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department is also not known to the respondent police.

3. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce all the relevant documents related to the temple and his status as a Dharmakartha to the respondent police. Thereafter, the respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2021, depending upon the situation therein.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
