ORDER

The petitioner, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 7(1) and 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act r/w. 112, 318(4) of BNS in Crime No.254 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner along with other accused was in illegal possession of banned Lottery Tickets. Hence, the complaint.

3. No representation for the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner along with other accused was in illegal possession of banned Lottery Tickets. He would further submit that there are 14 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, and taking note of the fact that there are 14 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
