ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register an FIR pursuant to the order, dated 21.04.2021 passed by the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.147 of 2021.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., before the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet Chennai. The learned Magistrate, by order, dated 21.04.2021, in Crl.M.P.No.147 of 2021 forwarded the complaint to the respondent Police to proceed with the investigation, but sofar no action taken by the respondent Police. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioner was cheated by online fraudsters and the complaint has to be necessarily investigated by the concerned Cyber Crime Police, who has got necessary expertise. Hence, the respondent Police did not take any action on the complaint of the petitioner. 4.Since the petitioner was cheated by online fraudsters and the complaint has to be effectively investigated by the Cyber Crime Police, the respondent Police is directed to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

forward the complaint of the petitioner along with the copy of the order of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.147 of 2021, dated 21.04.2021 to the Cyber Crime Branch, Chennai, who shall take action, in accordance with law.

5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
