Crl.O.P.No.4837 of 2016 K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.

The petitioners, who are arrayed as A2 to A4, apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 392, 397, 336, 427 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.94 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 03.02.2016, the petitioners along with other accused have waylaid the defactocomplainant and snatched his cell phone and a cash of Rs.6,000/- at knife point and also assaulted him.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the first accused was arrested and he is now detained under Act 14, 1982.

4. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent opposed to grant anticipatory bail stating that the occurrence had taken place on 03.02.2016 in a public place and they are not entitled for anticipatory bail.

sms Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of offences, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
