ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2022 seeking for alternate duty within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.A.Sundaravadhanan, learned standing counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

3. According o the petitioner, he was recruited as a driver by the respondents. According to him, due to his medical ailments, he is medically unfit to work as a driver. In such circumstances, he has given a representation on 09.09.2022 seeking for alternate duty. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.S.R.Karthikeyan learned counsel for the petitioner and 2/5

Mr.A.Sundaravadhanan, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2022 seeking for alternate duty instead of driver duty, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
