Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 23.08.2023 of the petitioner students, who are pursuing their Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) degree course in batch 2020 - 2021 at the 3rd respondent college within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

W.M.P.No.33461 of 2023 has been filed for early hearing of W.P.No.25577 of 2023. Since the prayer is short and both Mr.Imayavaramban, appearing for R1 and R2 i.e., Registrar and Controller of Examination of Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University and Mr.K.Balakrishnan, who appears for R3, have no objection to this Court allowing the main prayer itself, the writ petition is directed to be listed under a special list and is so listed today. 2.

The prayer of the petitioners is for a mandamus directing R1 and R2 to consider their representation dated 23.08.2023. Inter-alia they have requested that they be permitted to write forthcoming semester examinations.

Though examinations are normally scheduled in 2/4

November, 2023, learned counsel for the petitioners states that they have not been so conducted thus far and the examinations are expected to be conducted any time now.

Since learned counsel for R1 and R2 has no objection for grant of mandamus for disposal of representation dated 23.08.2023, mandamus is issued to R1 to consider representation dated 23.08.2023, hear the petitioners and pass orders within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law and prevailing regulations. 5.
