O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to provide domestic electricity connection to the petitioner's property vide application dated 29.07.2019.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property is classified as village natham from the year 2001 and the petitioner and her family are living in the said property by constructing a small shed and in recognition of her possession, the Village Administrative Officer has given residential certificate. The petitioner is assessed to corporation tax for the land and also paying the same without any default. The petitioner vide application dated 29.07.2019 applied for domestic electricity connection to the second respondent along with necessary documents, however, the second respondent returned the petitioner's application without assigning any reason. Hence, this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the second respondent to re-consider the petitioner's application dated 29.07.2019 and to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that appropriate orders would be passed on the petitioner's application, within the time frame that is to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to re-consider the petitioner's application dated 29.07.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and shall pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

6.This writ writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
