ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner would state that he is doing Waste
Paper business on contract basis with the respondent as well as with the other Government organization. He would further state that as per the Letter of the Directorate of Stationeries and Printing vide Letter No.W2/15995/2014 dated 09.04.2015, the petitioner ranks 18 in the Waste Paper Contractors List. While so, the respondent, in order to dispose of the accumulated waste papers, invited tenders only from three contractors, violating the tender process and without issuing a tender application to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.09.2016 to the respondent and since, it did not evoke any kind of response, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition.
This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as
possible.
