Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner representation dated 02.09.2016 and give the patta to the petitioner within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner would state that he purchased a house plot admeasuring to an extent of 15 cents comprised in S.No.137/6A, situate at Vayalur village, through a registered Sale Deed bearing Document No.12151/1989 dated 12.10.1989, registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Thirukkazhukundram. It is his further submission that he has been paying tax to the revenue authorities in respect of the said property. The petitioner submitted various representations / petitions dated 15.05.2008, 13.09.2010, 16.06.2011, 17.05.2012 ; 21.11.2013 and 23.03.2016 to the respondents seeking for issuance of patta. Since the said representations/petitions did not evoke any kind of response, the petitioner submitted a representation on 02.09.2016 to the 1st respondent. Since the said representation is yet to be considered, the petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into
the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
