The Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent-Police not to harass the petitioner except due process of law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents-Police, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's husband (Basheer Ahmed), who is working as a Sub Inspector of Police in P1 Pulianthope Police Station, Chennai, had obtained hand loan from one Altaf and failed to repay the same, the said Altaf lodged a complaint against the petitioner's husband and that the respondent-Police sent summons to the petitioner's husband for enquiry on 02.05.2025. In order to escape from the clutches of law, the petitioner had filed the present petition alleging that the respondent-Police are harassing her under the guise of enquiry.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case on hand, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court as the petitioner's husband was only called for an enquiry by the respondent Police and there is no iota of materials to show that the respondents2/4

Police harassed the petitioner and hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
