Contempt Petition No.1575 of 2019 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that, in compliance with the aforesaid order of this Court, the respondent had already sent a letter in Lr.No.30417A/L1/LC/TNSTC(VPM)/KPM/19 dated 15.03.2019 to the petitioner, stating that the retiral benefits have been settled to the petitioner before August, 2012 and hence, the petitioner is not entitiled to receive interest for belated payment. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the date of settlement mentioned in the said letter. 3.As there is claim and counter claim, this contempt petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
