Though the delay is long, we find that the challenge to the order impugned in this appeal by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority was pending and the request for payment of interest in the said appeal having been rejected by the Division Bench, necessitating this appeal.

2. Considering the same and the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, this petition is ordered, the delay in filing the appeal is condoned.
