ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2 nd respondent to disburse the retirement benefits of DCRG, commutation, leave Salary benefits, UEL and other benefits accrued on the date of superannuation with all the benefits to the petitioner with interest at 18 percentage per annum.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he was appointed as Junior Assistant in the second respondent university. His service was confirmed on 01.05.1989. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that on 31.03.2020, he retired on attaining superannuation in the cadre of Deputy Registrar. In spite of his retirement in the year 2020, the respondents did not dispose of the terminal benefits of the petitioner such as DCRG, commutation, and other benefits. In this connection, the petitioner has sent various representations and the last representation was on 01.07.2025 and such representation is pending with the respondents.

3. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that

they will consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.

4. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 01.07.2025 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
