Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to explore the representation dated 16.06.2025 filed before the respondents and pass an order to allow the five families in the Government poromoboke land under Re-survey No.70/3, Ariyankuppam, where they have been residing for over 50 years, without causing obstruction to any roads or anyone. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Against the action of removal of certain persons by the respondents, including some of the petitioners, this public interest litigation has been filed.

2. In our view, this issue cannot be gone into by way of a public interest litigation. Those who are personally interested and appear to be aggrieved cannot file public interest litigation. If they are aggrieved by action of the respondents, remedy is to challenge those orders in appropriately constituted proceedings. With the said liberty, this petition is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.34897 of 2025 is closed.
