The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 12.11.2014 and investigate the case and file final report.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against her husband and her in-laws on the allegation of dowry harassment. Though the said complaint was given on 12.11.2014, till date no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present criminal original petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint of the petitioner, C.S.R.No.466 of 2014 has been assigned and the matter is pending for enquiry. He further submitted that the petitioner is not co-operating with the enquiry.

5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 12.11.2014 in C.S.R.No.466 of 2014 and dispose the same in accordance with law, as early as possible. If no prima facie case is made out for registering the case, the respondent is directed to pass an appropriate order on the complaint of the petitioner. The petitioner is also directed to co-operate for enquiry.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
