This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR registered in Cr.No.282 of 2024 by the first respondent on the ground that he being 1/4

a whistle-blower filed a writ petition and got a direction. It was detrimental to the defacto complainant who is working as Assistant Executive Engineer/Bridges Department, Greater Chennai Corporation. Hence a false complaint been registered against him for alleged offence under Sections 296(b), 132, 351(2) of BNSS.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that based on the complaint, investigation conducted and primafacie case been made out to indicate that the petitioner has obstructed the construction work of the bridge. Hence, final report filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur on 29.08.2024. Since the final report filed and material relied by the prosecution is already filed before the Court, it is open to the petitioner herein to challenge the final report, if so advised.

3. With this liberty and observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
