The petitioner has filed this revision seeking to set aside the conviction and sentence passed in C.A.No.26 of 2015 dated 15.09.2017 by the learned Sessions (Fast Track Mahila) Judge, Namakkal confirming the conviction and sentence made in C.C.No.93 of 2014 dated 10.06.2015 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Namakkal.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner is present.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner/accused met with a road accident on 06.09.2022 and got admitted in Government Hospital, Namakkal on 07.09.2022. Thereafter, he was taken to Sri Gokulam Speciality Hospital, Salem by his wife, who lodged a complaint and a case in Crime No.506 of 2020 was registered on 08.09.2020 for offence under Section 279 and 337 of I.P.C. He further submitted that the petitioner had self fall and sustained 2/4

injuries. Thereafter, the petitioner succumbed to his injuries on 09.09.2020 in the hospital. He has also produced the copy of the Death Certificate and F.I.R. before this Court.

4. In view of the Death Certificate of the petitioner/accused, nothing survives in this revision for further adjudication.
