PRAYER in W.P.No.352 of 2016 : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to forthwith to enhance the compensation amount for the petitioners land situa'ted at Plot No.283, Sri Lakshmi Nagar, Siru Mangadu Village, comprised in Survey No.141/1, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District measuring 2400 sq.ft which was acquired for SIPCOT Sriperumbudur Schemes in pursuance of the order vide Letter No.S2/17932/2015 dated 03.08.2015 passed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration, Chepauk, Chennai. 386 of 2016 : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to forthwith to enhance the compensation amount for the petitioners land situated at Plot No.234 Sri Kamatchiamman Nagar Irunkattukottai Village comprised in Survey Nos.162/8A and 162/14 Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District measuring 2400 sq.ft which was acquired for SIPCOT Sriperumbudur Schemes in pursuance of the order vide Letter No.S2/17931/2015 dated 03.08.2015 passed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration, Chepauk Chennai.

Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R Heard Mr.B.Ganesha Moorthy, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents and with their consent the Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioners in these writ petitions seek for a direction upon the respondents to pay enhanced compensation in respect of the lands which were acquired from the petitioners for SIPCOT Sriperumbudur Schemes.
3.The request made by the petitioners is pending before the District Collector, Kancheeuram District. Since no orders were passed, the petitioners submitted representations to the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner for Land Administration on 17.7.2015.
Pursuant to the said representations, the said authority by letter dated 3.8.2015, requested the first respondent to take necessary action and also to send compliance report to the Office of the Commissioner of Land Administration. Thereafter, the petitioners have submitted two representations on 7.9.2015 and 6.10.2015. Yet, there has been no response. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the first respondent may be granted sufficient time to consider the said representations made by the petitioners in accordance with law.
5.In the light of the above and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there will be a direction to the petitioners to submit fresh representation to the first respondent along with the copy of this order and enclose the copies of the earlier representations and the letter of the Commissioner of Land Administration dated 3.8.2015. If such representation is submitted, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the first respondent shall consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
The Writ Petitions are disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
