ORDER

This original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 06.12.2021 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. Earlier, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on instructions submitted that complaint was already forwarded to the Superintendent of Police, Perambalur District, for enquiry and report was awaited. Therefore, the matter was adjourned to today.

3. Today, when the matter has been taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the Superintendent of Police, Perambalur, has forwarded the complaint to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tittakudi Sub-Division on 12.01.2022 and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tittakudi, would complete the enquiry in the matter and pass suitable orders within a period of four weeks.

4. In the light of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) this court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tittakudi Sub-Division, to complete the enquiry and pass suit orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions.
