Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to permit to celebrate the temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Mayavar Ovili Perumal Kovil at Pasur Poosaripalayam, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District from 08.10.2016 to 15.10.2016 based on the representation dated 21.09.2016. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to permit to celebrate the temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Mayavar Ovili Perumal Kovil at Pasur Poosaripalayam, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District from 08.10.2016 to 15.10.2016 based on the representation dated 21.09.2016 made by the petitioner.

Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that a Peace Committee Meeting was conducted between the parties and both the parties did not agree to the Peace Committee Meeting. He further submitted that a final report has been given in this regard to the Tahsildar, the second respondent herein, and the Tahsildar has also passed an order based on the final report, and a copy of the order passed by the Tahsildar has also been given to the other side.

3.The above submission made by the learned Government Advocate is recorded and the writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the said order passed by the Tahsildar, the second respondent herein, if he is aggrieved. No costs.
