O R D E R

This petition is filed to order transfer of M.C.No.4 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court-I at Maduranthakam to Family Court at Chennai.

2. The petitioners are the wife and daughter of the respondent who have filed a maintenance petition in M.C. No.4 of 2021 before the Judicial Magistrate I, Maduranthakam for claiming maintenance.

3. Earlier a very same petition has been filed in Tr.C.M.P. in 1002 of 2022 seeking to transfer O.P.10 of 2021 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Maduranthakam to the Family Court, Chennai. The said petition was allowed and O.P.10 of 2021 which was pending on the file of Sub Court, Maduranthakam was also withdrawn and transferred to the Family Court, Chennai.

4. Since the maintenance petition in M.C. No.4 of 2021 can also be effectively heard and decided by the very same Court, I feel that this petition should be allowed.

5. The learned counsel for the respondent did not have any objection to transfer the maintenance petition from the file of Judicial Magistrate-I to the Family Court, Chennai.

6. In view of the above stated reasons, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The maintenance petition filed by the in M.C. No.4 of 2021 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court-I, Maduranthakam is withdrawn and the same is transferred to the Family Court, Chennai. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
