J U D G M E N T
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the Respondents for wilful disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 21.08.2019 in W.A.No.845 of 2019.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has represented that the order of this Court has been complied with in letter and spirit, inasmuch as the petitioner has been granted appointment on compassionate ground vide proceedings dated 12.08.2022 in G.O.(3D) No.06 Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MC-3) Department. It is further represented that Chennai Corporation has also filed a Review Petition with a delay condonation petition in C.M.P.No.16465 of 2021 in Rev.Appl.SR.No.14234 of 2020, which has been tagged along with this petition.
3. The factum of compassionate appointment granted to the petitioner 2/4
has not been disputed by the learned counsel for the Petitioner. This Court has also condoned the delay in filing the Review Petition filed by the Chennai Corporation by separate order.
4. In view of the aforestated position, we are of the view that no contempt has been made out and accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed without prejuduce to the rights of the parties in the Review Petition. No costs. [S.V.N,J.,] [P.T.A,J.,] 04.01.2023 ar 3/4
