This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondents/Police to file a charge sheet in Crime No.42 of 2024 on the 1/4

file of the second respondent Police in a time bound manner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the investigation in this case is pending without any progress and as such the petitioner/de-facto complainant, has been put into great hardship and hence, she is constrained to approach this Court with the said prayer.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that the investigation is in progress and charge sheet is yet to be filed.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as it is difficult to frame a time limit to complete the investigation and file a final report, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the respondents/Police is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.42 of 2024 in accordance with law and file the final report as expeditiously as possible.
