The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-police to file final report and complete the trial in Crime No.299 of 2015 for the offence under Sections 341 and 386 IPC dated 23.08.2015, within a period of two months.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that one Thavasumani lodged a complaint before the respondent police against the petitioners for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 341, 386 I.P.C. and the same was registered in Crime 299 of 2015. But, till date, there is no progress. Hence, the petitioners have come up with the present petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in Crime No.299 of 2015 has been completed and the charge sheet is yet to be filed before the concerned court.

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.299 of 2015, pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
