ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report registered under section 294, 342 and 506[i] IPC on the file of the first respondent.

2. The allegation in the First Information Report indicate that the petitioner along with other accused, who are office bearers of the society, abused and caused disturbance to the meeting conducted in the society. When the entire First Information carefully perused, except general allegations that the accused caused disturbance to the meeting and abused others using singular

terms, no other allegations have been made against the accused. Nature of the abusive words also not mentioned in the First Information Report. Even if the First Information Report is taken as a proof, the same will not constitute any offence. Hence, continuing investigation on the basis of the above First Information Report will be abuse of process of law.

3. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the First Information Report registered in Crime No.527 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent is quashed.
