ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1), 76(1) of Chit Funds Act, 1982 r/w 420 of IPC in Crime No.2 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are running a unregistered chit funds and collected the money from various persons including the defacto complainant. Further, the petitioners had cheated the defacto complainant and others. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioners had cheated the defacto complainant and others more than Rs.57 Lakhs. He further submitted that there is serious allegation made against the petitioners and the investigation is at initial stage. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
5. Considering the fact that large amounts of money is involved and that the petitioners have cheated the defacato complainant and others and also taking into consideration the fact that investigation is still going on, enlarging the petitioners on anticipatory bail at this point of time, when the offence is serious in nature and there is likelihood of the petitioners indulging in activities which would be prejudicial for investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
