The petitioner/sole-accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 427 and 506(1) of IPC in Crime No.319 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, on 05.05.2023, at around 05:30 P.M., when the de-facto complainant closed his clinic and went home, the accused have removed the name board measuring around 8 feet from the de-facto complainant's wall. On the next day, when the de-facto complainant came to open his clinic, he found that the name board was missing and found near the garbage. When the same enquired the accused, who is running a pawn shop near the de-facto complainant's clinic, he admitted that he had removed the name board and further threatened the de-facto complainant with dire consequences and abused him using filthy language. Thereafter, the de-facto complainant lodged a complaint

dated 01.07.2023 and respondent police registered FIR in crime No. 319 of 2023 dated 01.07.2023 against the petitioner for offences under sections 294(b), 427 and 506(1) of IPC.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has not involved in the afore mentioned offence in anyway. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that as per the CCTV footage, the petitioner is seen damaging the de-facto complainant's name board and the display board given there in and the cost of the damage is Rs.18,000/- and he also produced the CCTV footage.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and the CCTV footage, nature and gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
