ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders granting promotion to the petitioners to the post of Librarian Grade - II on inclusion of their names in 2016-17 on par with their juniors with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including arrears of salary in consideration of the representation of the petitioners within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard Mr.S.Nedunchezhiyan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.R.Neethiperumal, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
3. Mr.R.Neethiperumal, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that all the petitioners have been promoted except the third petitioner. Since the third petitioner did not give any Page No.2 of 4
willingness for promotion, he alone remains to be promoted.
4. The learned Government Advocate furnished the proceedings dated 27.09.2022 in which, it is stated that all the petitioners got promotion, except the third petitioner. The typed set of papers submitted by the learned Government Advocate also contains a letter given by the third petitioner in which he has stated that he is not willing to go on promotion.
5. In view of the above circumstances, nothing remains to be considered further in this Writ Petition and hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
