PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 1 to 5 to proceed with any acquisition proceedings with respect to the petitioner's land comprised in S.Nos.227/4, 227/5, 214/2B, 226/1, 227/6 and 227/3A without conducting enquiry on his representation dated 17.06.2025 in accordance with law within the time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to forbear the respondents 1 to 5 to proceed with any acquisition proceedings with respect to the petitioner's land comprised in S.Nos.227/4, 227/5, 214/2B, 226/1, 227/6 and 227/3A without conducting enquiry on his representation dated 17.06.2025 in accordance with law.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner given a representation dated 17.06.2025 to the respondents 1 to 4, seeking to withdraw the Survey Notice dated 12.06.2025 and to pay fair 2/6
compensation for his 1/3rd of agricultural land (measuring about 1 1⁄2 Acres) situated at Veedur Village and Post, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District, acquired by the respondents for construction of Veedur Dam Road High-Level Bridge. He would further submit that nothing has been progressed so far and no inquiry was conducted on the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2025. Hence, this writ petition.

It is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents that the representation dated 17.06.2025, made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with following directions:- i) The respondents shall consider the representation dated 17.06.2025 in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. ii) Though facts have been set out extensively in the affidavit, this Court 3/6
does not propose to deal with it while leaving it open to the respondents to call for any document/conduct enquiry to satisfy itself of the petitioner's entitlement over the subject property.
iii) It is open to the petitioner to submit his objection if any during the course of inquiry.
iv) The entire process shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy.
v) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the respondents to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open. No costs.
