ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 6 not to give permission to the respondents 7 to 12 or their men, representatives to conduct the second holy water pouring ceremony of Arulmigu Pidari Mariamman Temple, Kamba Perumal Temple and Pillayar Temple situated at Valayamadevi, Attur Taluk, Salem District, which is under the control of HR & CE Board Department scheduled to be held on 28.08.2024 by the estate Hindus

without the participation of Adidravidar people and consequently to take action against the respondents 7 to 12 on discrimination as against Adi Dravidar People based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2024.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during pendency, the function has been over and hence, the matter has become infructuous. However, this Court may direct the respondents to take action against the respondents 7 to 12 on discrimination as against the Adi Dravidar people.

3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in respect of untouchability in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. No costs. 29.08.2024 rli To
