Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue computer patta in the name of petitioner and make all online entries in the revenue records of his lands in S.No.272/5 (Old No.109/1A), to an extent of 430Sq.Mts (4628 Sq.Fts.), situated at Thiruporur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District forthwith.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the third respondent to issue computer patta in his name and make all online entries in the revenue records of his lands in S.No.272/5 (Old No.109/1A), to an extent of 430Sq.Mts (4628 Sq.Fts.), situated at Thiruporur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned lands for a long time and Natham patta has been issued in his favour in the year 1998. But the same was not updated in the online records till date. Therefore, he submitted an application on 10.07.2024 to the third respondent seeking to make appropriate entires in the online records and also to issue computer patta in the name of the petitioner. The said application has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.Arasakumar, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 10.07.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
