The Official Assignee applies for permission to disburse the surplus amount of Rs.5,40,000/- to the legal heirs of the insolvent.

2. In support of this application, the Official Assignee has filed a report dated 29.09.2022. In the said report, it is stated that, by order dated 06.03.2020, this Court directed the Official Assignee to disburse the surplus amount of Rs.4,18,995/- to the legal heirs of the insolvent. On the ground that the surplus amount has increased to Rs.5,40,000/- on account of interest accruals, the present application is filed.

3. On examining the report of the Official Assignee, it is clear that this application is liable to be allowed. The order passed in this application will enure to the benefit of the legal heirs of the insolvent. Therefore, the application is ordered in their absence.

4. Accordingly, this application is allowed by permitting the Official Assignee to disburse the surplus amount of Rs.5,40,000/- to the legal heirs of the deceased insolvent.
