This Writ Petition is filed to call for the records of the 1st respondent dated 07.02.2017 bearing No.AG (A&E)/Legal Cell / W.P.11572/2016/1900/108177 and directing the respondents to sanction and disburse the bonus increment from the date of completion of 10 years as Special Grade, Headmaster or from the date of completion of 30 years as Headmaster in Elementary Education with interest as applicable within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.It is seen that the petitioner represented before this Court on 22.01.2024, that the petitioner died and steps have to be taken to implead the Legal heirs of the deceased petitioner on record. From 22.01.2024 to till today the matter has been adjourned several times on the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner to implead the legal heirs on record. 2/4

3.In my view, as the learned counsel for the petitioner has not been able to take steps to implead the legal heirs inspite of several opportunities given from 22.01.2024 to till date, this Court is of the view that no purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending. The writ petition is therefore dismissed as abated. However, there shall be no order as to costs. 23.10.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No ah To 1.The Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements), No.361, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 018.
